Yeah the drums i heard are really good which is the main reason i have taken lw. Kinda like FSW (tailoring) i was looking for that epic set a lw can make, but i heard that there are a lot more cloth drops thats better for pve healing (good chance im going resto), ill look into Windhawk armor.
So, seeying as lw is really worth it for you, wouldnt alchemy bring you and your groups more then engineering? Seems to me you would always have and never run out of cash cause people will always by them.
However i just though of something, the one thing that makes alchemy realy worth it on a druid is when its combined with herbalism, since you can gather herbs with decent speed due to flightform and such…
Oh well, go take a look at epic rewards for and make a top 3 wannahave list and decide which is the most usefull to ya.Leathworking is very good, drums are good end game, Clefthoof set is a fantastic base for a tanking set and Windhawk armor is ungodly for Healing and Balance.
Just not sure what else I want with it.-Do you have that dream where you see yourself standing in sort of sun god robes on a pyramid with a thousand naked women screaming and throwing little pickles at you?Started a druid myself recently and have been trying to figure out if leatherworking is worth it, the alternative i had in mind was alchemy. It seems to me that alchemy would work in almost every situation; gold making, leveling, grinding, raiding, expansions, pvp.
Hi all
My druid is a Leatherworker currently, and I am thinking of dropping skinning and grabbing another manufacturing profession, and raising up my hunter alt to gather for me.
Any thought on what would be good?
Options include:
Engineering – Mote extractor + epic helmet. Good stuff, but will they apply in WOTLK?
Enchanting – Ring enchants + Possible money. Also sharding things in late dungeons will make it self sustaining.
Alchemy – Will always definitely be helpful in every expansion for every class.
Inscription – ??? I guess this will be good?
any opinions on this?-Do you have that dream where you see yourself standing in sort of sun god robes on a pyramid with a thousand naked women screaming and throwing little pickles at you?

Patch Notes Posted… <-- Allakhazam version - no specific class notes included, but links to them are there.
Quote:- Spellpower:
All items and effects which grant bonuses to spell damage and spell
healing are being consolidated into a single stat, Spellpower. This
stat will appear with the same values found on items which grant
??ncreased spell damage and healing??such as on typical Mage and
Warlock itemization.
For classes which do not heal, they should see no change in the
character sheet other than new tooltip wording.
Healing characters will see their bonus healing numbers on the
character sheet decrease, however, all healing spells have been
modified to receive more benefit from spellpower than they received
from bonus healing, with a net effect of no change to the amount
healed by their spells. Some talents have had to be rebalanced to
accommodate this change, but the amount healed will remain roughly
the same. In addition, some talents will provide only healing spell
power.
So does this mean that resto and balance could share a set of gear? I guess there are other stats that would come into play, but if a balance druid were to get some heavy gear it would be a decent set for a healer? I apologize and may be jumping the gun as I have never looked deeply into the Balance tree and gear recommendations for it, but I can’t imagine it would be much different that a healers gear, +healing and +damage aside.
If this is the case, I may have to give moonkin a try. Can you please tell me if I am correct or explain why I am not (aside from not having researched balance gear)?
Thanks

Hi fellow druids I’m new to WoW I’ve been playing now for about two weeks and had a couple of questions.
1. Whats the proper use of shred. You can only use it use behind a target so basically its only to be use as a opening attack in prowling mode or to be used on a traget that focused on a tank? I solo alot and cant really figure out a way to use it other than that.
2. I love this class but it seems I’m always a bit behind even basic player at what point do you start to become the beast I see most of you guys are Lvl 40 or 50?
I’m at lvl 31 right now and and I’m building a feral druid. I plan on building The following talent tree based of what I looked up and read on this forun does this look about right? My goals are to hit hard as a cat and take a beating as a bear. I also am working on two sets of armor because you guys said I would need two set to dual play.
What weapons/ armor enchantments should I be focusing on? As a cat what should I focus on strength and agl right and as a bear I should focus on strength and defense right, after that pile on as mush stamina a possible? This is a link to my eqipment

For the most part I’m going to assume if you’re balance you’re raiding and need to activate your meta which should be crit/crit damage increase.
But with all these new epic gems you ask yourself, “What do I put into my blue sockets now?!?!”
Arex has the answer!
Now, logic states you would want to for the most part fill your socket bonuses but now that you are able to get 23 spell power runed cardinal rubies your blue sockets become something you can ignore for the most part.
Now for your meta you will need 2 blue gems, this can be done with the 12 spell power / 10 spirit gems. Because of the improved moonkin talent this gem can basically be called “15 spell power and unnecessary mana regen.”
12 spell power 10 spirit with the 30 conversion into spell power = 3 spell power. 12 + 3 = 15. 15 spell power + 7 sp socket bonus = 22 spell power Runed Cardinal Ruby – 23 spell power 15 spell power + 8 spell power bonus = 23 spell power = Runed Cardinal Ruby 23 spell power.
Most blue socket bonuses are spell power. So, the simple conversion is this.
If your socket bonus is not 8 spell power or more, you can ignore the blue socket and put in a runed cardinal ruby.
Once you breach the 8 spell power or greater mark in your blue socket bonus the 12 sp/10 spirit15 spell power gem becomes your gem of choice.

Quick Addendum. I understand that pending what your spirit may be, the 30 conversion its entirely possible that you might recieve one extra spell power from your 12 sp / 10 spirit gem. Due to this, you’ll be required to do your own math. Simple math is as far as Arex is willing to go for you.
Some might say the 10 stat gems. Don’t do it, the dps increase is not near as good as either the 23 sp or 12sp / 10 spirit.-

Hello everyone,
In all of my time through wow I have always enjoyed the druid class and have even played them through most of my RPG gaming history I first and foremost enjoy the moonkin class and its survivability in PVE along with all the “jack of all trades” tricks we have I feel confident in a PVP and Raid atmousphere. At times lately I feel like I am loosing out quite badly to the Kitty DPS’ers in my raid guild
for advice and hopefully some good pieces of discussion.
Me –
Since I found out that I was screwing myself in to building a potentially broken set I bought Maghias Misguided Quill first with my Frost Emblems. That wicked head piece will have to wait!
I built macros in under a few of my spell casts that are simple but really help eliminate the button cooldown when trying to set off trinkets and for me, engineering tinkering such as speed gloves w 1 min CD.
/castsequence
/use Malfurions Gloves of Triumph
/cast Starfall

I basically uise the same formula and link my two trinks which have a 2 Min CD and pair them with Wrath and Starfire, my two main casts. I also turn off the interface notifications for spells not being ready so it doesn’t constantly pop up when casting wrath, and the trink isn’t ready.
As far as I am aware every trink starts an internal 30 second cooldown before you can use another trink but I am not sure if haste rating affects
I follow Arex’s words as close as possible but I find my rotation in a raid scenario as

The mod is called MetaHUD. You can find it on or on

Perhaps naming your mod might be helpful to the OP and others? Just saying that you have a wonderful mod, not so much.-Hunter Pet information links:

TKA Somethingwell i have a addon that adds a metahud
and in the middle of my 2 bars there is the range displayedHi, I’m new to Hunter, and I was wondering if there was an addon or mod that would allow me to see the distance between my target and me. I hate not getting in every shot I can. >.< I've seen an addon that does this, but it uses a kind of colored distance bar. I'd really prefer one that simply displays the numerical distance. Does anybody know of one?
Any assistance is appreciated. Yay hunters!-How Far FFXI has come…I speced BM last night and was blow away by the DPS I produced including my lv 3 loyalty pet…
Maybe a nerf in MM will make survival a viable spec once more.-Dorf Hunter

:O
You two, stop crushing young hopeful minds :P In TBC there’s a lot of gear that you can make that’s easily equal to instance gear, and not even particularly difficult to get. A few hours farming some wind elementals to be able to craft some bracers or a few hours in a dungeon for some bracers which may or may not drop, or if they do drop, may go to another hunter in the group?
Dragonscale is definitely the route to take for the 350 skill chest for level 65 and the epic 3 piece set at skill level 375 for level 70. However, you’ll still be able to make a lot of mail gear even if you aren’t specced Dragonscale, such as the Felscale and Felstalker items. For straght dps, its actually quite hard to find a good replacement for the gloves and boots, which can be got early on (level 57 and 61 respectively).
Rapp and striv are right though, its something of a chore to level a non-gathering profession, and it will net you less gold than selling the raw materials would, but that’s only at lower levels. Once you’re crafting items requiring Primal Nethers, you’ll definitely start earning a lot of money. Ironically though, that means running a lot of :P Using a profession to provide items, be it armor, weapons, potions, etc, just isn’t that feasible while leveling up. It works well till about level 20, but unless you specifically focus alot of time leveling your profession (which can get expensive) your character will outlevel the effectiveness of your profession fairly fast.-Striveldt
FFXI: DRK 55, WAR 30, THF 27, DRG 27 (all retired)
WoW: Hunter 70, Warrior 29, Druid 26, Warlock 22, Shaman 19 (all retired)
EQII: Shadowknight 36 (retired)
Back into FFXI while waiting for FFXIVIf you must spec leatherworking, you should go with dragonscale (only one to give you mail armor at 40). Be warned that you will spend a lot of time and money making this gear that isn’t quite as good as what you can find in drops from instances.

You don’t need the pet to keep up with your dmg (if you don’t want to). Most of your threat comes from growl anyways. If you’re already getting into multiple trees I’d get Hawk Eye asap though. It’s a personal preference but I find it good to have some extra distance to things.
When ever I lvl I go BM. It’s not all points in BM but there are a lot of them. In the end it looks something like this.-Talnivarr EU:
Utarius – 80 Warrior
Tyradar – 80 Hunter
Vardos – 80 Paladin
Daedros – 80 Deathknight
Gardon – 80 Druid
Gorgathar – 78 Shaman
Drana – 74 Priest
Xyrana – 73 Warlock
Urthak – 70 Rogue
Tyrana – 71 MageI’m going BM spec all the way. I’ve had no problem solo play. I’d at least get Unleased Fury. To help the pet keep up with your damage output.
I have wrath, and it’s pretty cool. The pet does way more damage, and it’s a fairly short cooldown timer. I’m looking forward to getting beast within. Then I think I’ll start dumping into MM after that.
I love having the status cures in my mend pet 2/2. If your pet has a nasty Def. down or poison you can remove it.
I have not crunched the numbers yet, but I’m hoping to have Aimed shot down the line.–If my answers frighten you then you should cease asking scary questions.
Gyfdruid: Tauren Druid lv80- Battle Chicken
Gyfford: Tauren Warrior lv80- TG Fury
Gyfhunter: Orc Hunter lv80 – Beastmastery
Gyfhidden: Troll Rogue lv80- PvP hobby
FFXI: Deleted 8-19-07 RIPMY DESIRED TREE
This is the direction I’m thinking about heading towards. I really like being BM specced and looking to do more ranged damage as well. So I’d like to start dipping into the MM tree.
If this is a viable direction, should I aim (pun intended) towards Bestial Wrath or Trueshot Aura. I had a hard time with that one?
And if you’d like to see where I’m currently at, you can check the Armory – here
Any suggestions or direction would be groovy.
Happy Trails!

Azuarc wrote:When do I get…?
Pets – level 10
How do I get my pet?
The first thing you must do is the class quest in your starting area after level 10. Go to Hill and look for your trainer. He will give you a series of lame quests to tame particular creatures in the zone. After you have finished, you will then be able to tame your own pet.
Then go out into the wild, and find a creature that is a no bigger than a bear, and not above your level, and click “Tame Beast”. Your character will stand still while a bar goes by and the beast will run up and start beating you. This represents the creature’s resistance to your efforts to tame it.
If you manage to withstand the attacks for 20 seconds without being interrupted, you will tame your target and he will stop attacking you.
You can NOT take any other action while taming or it will fail. Nobody else can interfere by healing you or tanking the beast. You must simply weather the attacks, but there’s nothing keeping you from trying to not get hit. To help in taming your pet, make sure nothing else is around that will attack, use Aspect of the Monkey, Freezing Trap if you have it yet, and stand at max distance from your target to buy extra time.

This was quoted from the “EVERY QUESTION ANSWERED HERE” thread that Azuarc created. It is very useful and can be found at the top of the Hunters Forums list in bold lettering. I hope it will be a great help to you.Read….
